This environmentally friendly, lead-free polymer bearing material is injection molded from polyphenylenesulfide resin (PPS) with a special filler. It has sliding characteristics equivalent to those of polytetrafluoroethylene resin (PTFE). There is also a fiber-reinforced type, whose strength and heat resistance have been improved.
