While expanding into new non-bearing business, we have grown into a global company with 43 locations in 15 countries and are adding value as a trusted business partner for customers all around the world.
The Group has established “Corporate Philosophy,” “Code of Conduct,” “Standards of Conduct,” “Principles,” and “Environmental Fundamental Policy” as management policies, and contributes to society through its business operations. As an organization built on technologies, we are determined to fulfill our social responsibility as a corporation by actively working toward the development of industrial and environmentally friendly technologies, and to meet our corporate social responsibilities from the field of tribology.
Our Group has now begun our new Midterm Plan ‘Bridge to Daido 2030’ which will run from FY2025 to FY2030, based on our aforementioned Management Policy and our purpose of ‘Supporting all movements and contributing to a fulfilling life for people around the world. We will continue to increase our corporate value through initiatives based on the new Midterm Plan.
Despite conditions making forecasting difficult such as the quickening decoupling of the world economy, structural changes to industry etc., our Group intends to further increase our presence in the bearing industry through Group synergy, and to continue as the world’s number 1 comprehensive plain bearing manufacturer.
(Future we are aiming for)
Our new Midterm Plan sets out the social value of the products our Group has provided and the values we have cherished will serve as our purpose for the future (Purpose) and the vision of what the Group is aiming to be (Vision) as we head towards 2050. In addition to starting this new Midterm Plan, we have renamed our business segments, and in order to achieve the targets set out in out new Midterm Plan we have clarified our strategy for each of these segments and are continuing to review allocation of our management resources. Through these initiatives we intend to achieve the business portfolio our Group is aiming for.
(Business portfolio we are aiming for)
Our Group will continue with our core business of manufacturing and selling bearings for use in and around engines in automobiles and ships. To continue as the world’s leading comprehensive plain bearing manufacturer, we will further leverage the technical and production knowhow, reliability and assurance we have cultivated in the engine bearing industry to further strengthen our quality and business foundations. We will follow a multipath way strategy that continues to meet customer needs while responding to environmental targets and product line up for bearings within engines. Furthermore, we will strengthen sales of products which are not used in engines and will gradually implement this fundamental strategy and give equal weight to the different industries of ‘non-engine parts’ and ‘other automotive parts’. By providing the value of plain bearings to a wide range of applications, not only in the traditional automotive and marine applications but also in general industry, we will strengthen our business foundation and expand into business areas other than plain bearings.
We appreciate the continuing support and encouragement of all our shareholders and investors.
